Made it from scratch: a dolly daybed

August 10, 2008 · 3 Comments

Beautiful bedding for a dreamy doll bed.

I picked up this cute little doll daybed at one of our local vintage stores for a dollar. I wasn’t impressed with the upholstery but knew it could be sooo easily fixed. So, I brought it home and got to work right away recovering. This little set includes three pillows, a comforter, mattress pad and a dust ruffle. I used some of my vintage material stash and James repainted the whole thing to make it look super brand new.

It never even made it to our little shop. My mom bought it for her grandchildren–sight unseen!

Thanks, Mom!

That is precious! Where were you when I was little? Or my daughter for that matter? You are quite a seamstress!
