My New Scanner

January 3, 2008 · Leave a Comment

We were given this beautifully illuminated calendar last year. Now that the year is over, we will not be able to see it every day. This year, my parents gave us a scanner/printer/copier combo. What joy! I was able to scan this image from the calendar to share.

That’s me. Thought you all might like to see some of my Black Swallowtail larvae in action. They are chowing on some fennel, which I grow in large quantities to support two broods each year. We also have monarchs and cloudless sulfurs right now. I love my little butterfly family!

Bloggy Break

My brother is here visiting. We’re taking lots of pictures and going to all the thrift stores. Until Monday, I will just be posting random bits of nonsense. Wasn’t I excited to get this result????

Which vintage movie star are you most like?(For girls)

You are Audrey Hepburn. You aren’t a firey beauty that stops cars, but when people get a good look at you, they adore your face. You’re lovely and it’s more natural because you never fuss too much over your looks. Your manner is charming and easy, your voice soothing, and your mind sharp. You will have many admirers and as long as you keep your head on your shoulders, your choices will be wise.

Isn’t she precious? We took her with us to the Fourth of July celebration and she was so good. She’ll be three in September. I just love this little elf girl to pieces! And, she is such a good dancer. We turned the music on and she was the first person on the dance floor.
