Pastor Bobby posted a hint today on his blog that I think we may have to adopt here at BrightHaven. First, let me preface this hint with some slight explanation. Since Harvest is what we call a mobile church, each Sunday morning, we set up early at the Rave Theater here in Pensacola. After service, we tear everything down. We have a great crew so everything usually goes very smoothly. However, those involved in setting up usually arrive around 6:30 in the morning. (That’s my set up story.)

Now, when Daylight Savings comes around and kicks us in the fanny, set up crew will actually be arriving at 5:30 in the morning. That’s pretty rough. We’re not on the set up crew but are on the worship team so we’ll technically be there at 6:30 in the morning (whew!). Pastor Bobby’s hint? Set your clocks ahead TOMORROW morning–that way you have a whole day to get used to that blasted time change. When Sunday rolls around, you’re already ahead of the game, hopefully.

Now don’t get me wrong, folks. Secretly, and not so secretly, I long for the return of Daylight Savings time. It’s great for gardening and being outside in the evenings. When daytime temps reach 100 or so here on the Gulf Coast, it’s always nice to know that one can work in the relative cool of the evening and still have plenty of light!

So, that’s my hint for you. Take it or leave it but have a great weekend and get some gardening done!

BTW, feel free to step over to my gardening site, Little Green Bees, to see some things that are going on…
